Meet Our

 


Bill Bancroft

Bill Bancroft is the Vice President, Corporate Property Services Director for Sterling Savings Bank.

After receiving his degree in Commercial Baking/Pastry Chef, he worked as a baker/pastry chef in various cities and then began his 25 years of Facilities Management experience in assuming the role of Director of Operations for Brumby’s Bakery Ltd from Brisbaine, Australia in the development of their chain throughout the United States.  Taking his facilities management experience from Brumby’s, he then moved on to the high-tech world of Itron and Telect, the latter which involved international experience including China, England, Poland, and Mexico.

Being a professional musician also, he has had the opportunity to go on tour with national artists such as Freddy Fender, Ty Green, Bo Diddley – to name just a few, prior to and during his career in facilities management.  Once he made the determination to forego playing music full time, he continued playing music as a hobby with local blues/jazz bands with several CDs to his name – which have garnered many Northwest awards.

Organizations he currently belongs to are – BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) Board of Directors, Legislative Committee that performs advocacy and lobbying at the state and national level as well as being active with the BICUC (Banking Institute Credit Union Council) concerning governmental affairs.  He is also a volunteer for Life Center Northwest for organ and tissue donation programs.

He has been happily married to Becky for 28 years and they have three grown children - Erin, Cory, and Casey.




Renee DeWees

Renee DeWees is a graduate of Eastern Washington University where she received both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Developmental Psychology.  While at EWU she also studied music, emphasizing in percussion performance.  

She is a former Miss Tri-Cities and has been a volunteer at the local level in the Miss America Organization since 2004 working with contestants to help prepare them for competition.

Renee has worked for both the University of Washington and Washington State University and is currently a full time mom to her three year old son Joshua.  

Currently she and her husband Todd are renovating their home in Vancouver, Washington and in her free time she enjoys cycling and scrapbooking.


Grace Leaf Grace Leaf Grace Leaf works as counseling faculty, and as the founding director of the CCS Leadership Development Program, at the Community Colleges of Spokane. She also works as an adjunct professor in the Leadership and Professional Studies Program at WSU Spokane.

Grace's current volunteer work includes serving as Vice President for the Saint George's Parent Association. She just completed a six-year term on the Board for the Spokane Area Children's Chorus, most recently serving as Trustee President and Co-Chair of the 20th Anniversary Gala. In addition Grace is on the Book Review Panel of the American Library Association, reviewing scholarly publications in organization development and leadership. She is completing her doctorate in leadership at Gonzaga University, holds a master's in organizational leadership from GU and a bachelor's in communication from Washington State University.
 
A former Miss Chewelah and Washington Jr. Miss state finalist and Washington's Spirit of Junior Miss, Grace's scholarship program involvement includes judging local Jr. Miss pageants, as well as choreographing, staging and emceeing for the Chewelah program.

Grace has been married for 19 years and has a 14-year-old son active in the Spokane performing arts community.


Kurt Mesford
Kurt Mesford has been a performer and music educator in Washington State for the last 15 years, performing instrumentally with the Mid-Columbia and Yakima Symphonies and the Columbia Basin Concert Band, as well as vocally with Consort Columbia. 

Over the past 11 years, he has been a member of the folk music duo
The Great Sanger & Didele, playing guitar and singing at various concert venues and folk festivals around the northwest.  Their album, Live at the Tillesquat Bowl, was named as one of the ten top albums of 2005 on the NPR program, Inland Folk

Recently, he also began playing guitar for Uncle Joe's Banjo Band, a Tri-City area "old-time" folk band. 

Along with teaching music in area public and private schools, Kurt has maintained an active private studio, teaching brass, woodwinds, percussion, voice, and guitar.


Amy Wiltse

Amy Wiltse started volunteering with the Miss America program with her involvement in the Miss Burien Scholarship Program.  She volunteered there for five years, holding positions of Director’s Assistant and Head Chaperone. Amy served as the Executive Director of the 2007 Sweeper Pageant, which sent four young ladies to Miss Washington. Amy is currently the Treasurer for the Miss Washington Locals Association. She attended the National Sweetheart Pageant in Hoopeston, Illinois in 2005 and made the trip to Miss America in January of 2007 to cheer on Kristen Eddings.

Amy is the Station Manager for International RAM Associates, which provides passenger assistance, at Sea-Tac International Airport.

She was awarded the 2005 RAM Way Award for leadership and exceptional customer service.

She lives in Puyallup with her husband Dave and her six and a half year old son Nathaniel, who is the joy of her life.
